SAD BUNNY is a drag king act inspired by Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Bad Bunny and the trope of the ‘Latin Lover’. Brought up on telenovelas, Latin American masculinity informed my childhood and adult life. The crossovers with and differences from Romanian masculinity (very eager to identify itself as the Latin in Eastern Europe) makes this public interrogation and play with masculinity a personal and intimate exploration too. 

Sad Bunny dances, lipsyncs and charms as part of the Haus of Intrusive Thots Collective, established in 2023 as alumni of the SOHO Theatre Drag & Cabaret Lab with Me the Queen.
